The Pride of Workmanship Awards is a brainchild of our own Rotary District 9685 instigated in 1975.  Its aim was to encourage more pride by Australians in their vocations.  Its theme is “Do it once. Do it well. Build a better Australia”.  It had its own dedicated presentation ceremony where recipients were presented with the award.  The Pride of Workmanship Awards strengthened the connection between Rotary clubs and local business communities.  Recipients are grateful for the recognition awarded to them and acknowledgement of their community involvement.

In 2022, The Rotary Lane Cove awarded this recognition to 2 very worth recipients.

Isabella Balmer, Administration Assistant at Raine & Horne was thrilled to receive her award for being a diligent and conscientious employee at their Real Estate office in Lane Cove. Isabella was nominated by Hazel McNamara.

The other worthwhile recipient was Dr Leander Rathsam from Burns Bay Dentistry, a very well-known dentist in the Lane Cove area that has serviced the local community for the past few decades nominated by Brian Hall.

Dr Rathsam was humbled and honoured to receive this award from Rotary Lane Cove and spoke very highly of our Club.  Congratulations to both recipient on the well-deserved awards.
